Mountain View Motel

Wow just wow. Love this place! Cute and very clean property off the main road, but close to everything. I am always somewhat leary about who will be at the front desk checking us in... But not here! We pulled up, parked, and who is happily greeting us as she's walking to the office? Sally. Talk about a wonderful check-in experience! Sally was so very nice, professional yet personable, and such great energy. Room is newly updated, modern, and very clean- love the LED lighting! Property is nice and quiet, with absolutely no riff-raff. This is most definitely our place to stay when traveling through Bishop. Thank you Sally, and Mountain view Motel!

We stayed in a handicap room,it was roomy and clean. The floor was so clean that my bear feet on it didn't even feel any dirt or dust the bed was very comfortable. We were very tired when we got in and slept like babies. When we go back to through Bishop California this is where we will stay. Would recommend this motel to everyone. They are doing some remodeling to some of the rooms, but the one we stayed in was perfect, new lighting, new bed, really nice floor, we had a fridge and a handicap shower seat. Clean, quite and comfortable.

We decided to take a chance on this motel after seeing all the bad reviews are from years ago. We're so glad we did! Our remodeled room was seriously one of the nicest motel rooms we've ever stayed in. Bonus points to the creative lighting and bathroom door- you guys did great! Complimentary toiletries were really appreciated after the JMT, especially the toothbrush. The staff was very kind, we needed a sharpie to mark up our map and they dug until they found one for us! It's the little things. Cute gnome up at the front desk too. Highly recommend- give this place a shot!

We stated at this hotel for 2 nights and its a little hidden gem. We were not expecting the rooms to be so nice. The room had great lighting and it was clean. The beds were comfortable the room was spacious and you have a mini fridge and microwave. There is also a table in the room with 2 chairs. The bathroom is a bit small but nothing too complain about. Check in was a breeze. The pool was out of service though. I would definitely stay here again when traveling through bishop. Don't let the bad reviews sway you from giving this place a try.

Really liked the remodeled property! Its looks from the outside can be deceiving, but the rooms are spacious, clean, and better than many hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. Lighting is really nice inside, huge flatscreen with access to major streaming services. Only gripes (minor): Coffee maker was a bit hard to operate; nearby high school Friday night football game can be loud for people who are sensitive to sound; walk to downtown is about 15 min.

Really great deal , newly renovated rooms and bathrooms! Happy to have spent a night here after our backpacking trip. Service was really good, quick check in! Everything was clean, bed was comfortable ! Only disappointed to have found strands of hair on the bedsheet and a cockroach at the beds end in the morning . Definitely still better than everything around in the area

Great place to stay for the night, room are nice and clean, the shower is amazing and you also have toothpaste and brashes incase you forgot yours Overall experience 10/10

Was looking forward to staying here due to the good deal and great recent reviews. But I booked in a rush and chose the wrong date. Luckily for me the hotel agreed to refund my completely even though I didn’t realize until 1 day before. They had no reason to do this. I was well past my free cancellation period. Just want to shout out the service here.
